TAP Security Portals

Boon Edam’s TAP security portals offer an innovative assortment of features and options that are appropriate for special applications and retrofits, such as metal detection, bullet resistant glass, surface mounting on finished floors and bi-parting doors (for increased throughput). All of our TAP portals are compatible with any access control system or biometric system and can ensure precise control of passage into and out of high security applications.

All TAP portals include safety and emergency controls for convenience and code requirements.

• TAP-50 – Retrofit solution: half portal system attaches to existing swing doors.
• TAP-100 – Standard size single entry portal.
• TAP-150 - Midsize single entry portal.
• TAP-200 – Large single entry portal that is handicapped accessible.
• TAP-250 – Extra large portal with bi-parting doors that is handicapped accessible.

TAP-50 The half portal secure interlocking door system

The TAP-50 is a fully programmable half cylinder portal that can be placed over an existing door to create an anti-piggybacking solution at a relatively low cost. Available with bullet resistant glass and uni-directional or bi directional electrical controls.

TAP-100 Single Entry Interlocking Door System

The TAP-100 Interlocking Door System is a fully programmable cylindrical portal which can be designed with metal detection, armored glass, and uni-directional or independent bi-directional electrical controls. The system can be integrated with any type of access control system.

TAP-150 Midsize Single Entry Interlocking Door System

The TAP-150 Interlocking Door System is a roomier version of the TAP-100 security door. This fully programmable cylindrical portal can be designed with metal detection, armored glass, and uni-directional or independent bi-directional electrical controls. The system can be integrated with any type of access control system.

TAP-200 Multipurpose Interlocking Door System

Boon Edam Inc. Multipurpose Interlocking Door System provides flexibility and state of the art technology to ensure the highest level of security with a larger portal size for ADA or other requirements. The TAP-200 Interlocking Door System is a fully programmable cylindrical portal which can be designed with metal detection, armored glass, and uni-directional or independent bi-directional electrical controls. The system can be integrated with any type of access control system.

TAP-250 Multipurpose/ADA Interlocking Door System

Boon Edam Inc. Multipurpose / ADA Interlocking Door System provides flexibility and state of the art technology to ensure the highest level of security with a larger portal size for ADA or other requirements. The TAP-250 Interlocking Door System with extended cabin length is a fully programmable cylindrical portal. The system can be integrated with any type of access control system.

Safety and Emergency Controls

• Inside call button and intercom in the event that assistance is needed.
• Remote control panel that opens both doors for continuous entry and exit.
• Connections can be made to the building’s fire alarm system, opening both doors immediately to allow evacuation.
• Battery back-up system allows for two hours of continuous use.
• Mechanical release lever that releases the door on the public side.
• Hand crank to open the door on the secure side.
